SmartyFella Humor: Featured Recommendations from Amazon for Giving Thanks

November 7, 2013 by Blaine Brount Leave a Comment

If I can trust Amazon’s featured recommendations, then SmartyFella Intern Blaine Brount will be thrilled with Mean Girls 2.

How might Blaine tell his aunt over Thanksgiving that he is appreciated as an intern at SGL after interviewing David Letterman’s guest Comedian Andrew Norelli and Humor Writer Hogan Gorman in Health and Relationships on Comedy’s Schedule? Perhaps by flashing a copy of Monsters University from his boss?
The Matrix Retold by Mom was a YouTube hit by 5 million views. When an intern such as Blaine lands an interview with both Joe Nicolosi and his famous mom, what better way to show that we value his contribution than to give him Bring It On?
3 Keys to Entrepreneurship from Guy Kawasaki was not the easiest interview to schedule. However, Blaine’s professionalism in the chat with the TED Talker put everyone at ease. Again, what would be an appropriate gesture of thanks? The Internship with Vince Vaughn.

Music Programs in the Schools is an article written by Blaine during the crunch of midterms. How can such a sacrifice be acknowledged? Easy A with Emma Stone?

How to Light a Kid’s Bedroom When He or She is Bullied at School

By smartygirl on October 21, 2011

According to Nicole Gordon Levine of Beautystat.com, 48% of young adults age 17-22 experience or witness bullying at school or at work. Levine approves of Secret deodorant’s campaign, “Mean Stinks!” I reflected upon this and reviewed a lesson plan that I created in October 2002. My ninth graders were given the scenario, “What if you […]

Filthy Friends’ Songwriter Corin Tucker Identifies with The Underdog Photo Credit: American Flag, Crying Child and Rotting Fruit by Unsplash         They say that, professionally speaking, it is difficult to review an artist of whom you are a fan. It compromises your objectivity and makes you an unreliable source of authority. Well, in the spirit of […]
