Overheard encouragement from Dad & Me running duos at the Pleasanton Rotary Father’s Day Spirit Run 5K
Dad 1 to daughter 1: I wanna let you know that soon you’ll feel very very tired but trust me, you’ll get your second wind.
Dad 2 to daughter 2: You see that? Just a little further. You can see the water station. You can do it. Run with dad.
Dad 3 to son 3: Keep going, Chris. I’m right behind you. The finish line is in sight.

SGL Summer Fitness Challenge Daring Young Entrepreneurs of the Day? SmartyGirl Marina, and SmartyFellas Daniel and Bryce
Marina: I have an idea. I think we should talk to kids about the fruit-skewers. I think they’d like them.
Daniel: We need different chalk lines for the bean bag toss so it’s fair for little kids and big kids.
Bryce: Let’s fix the dowel so that the bean bag toss board is more sturdy.
Daniel and Bryce: I think Psychic Frog should be our mascot. Listen to him talk. He teases that he’s going to win the race.
